IRISH MISSION REUNION - OCTOBER 1, 2010
Ah yes, and too be sure! It was a grand time indeed! Over 90 of us dined on succulent Prime Rib Roast with all the trimmin's. Thanx Tom! There were a few new faces and lots of older ones too.
The highlight of the evenings festivities was hearing from Raymond and Irene Lowry who were recently called as President and Matron of the London Temple. Who would have thought that the 14 year old boy who knocked on Elder Williams and Elder Yeagers door about 50 or so years ago would be in such a position today.
Throughout his career in gospel service, President Lowry has served as Branch President, a Missionary in Germany, Bishop, High Councilor, Stake President, President of the England Birmingham Mission, Regional Representative, Councilor in the Ireland Dublin Mission Presidency. Sister Lowry is a ward Primary teacher, she is a former stake family history center director, CES missionary, Relief Society enrichment leader, Relief Society secretary and stake Young Women president. Their testimonies and lifetime experiences are an inspiration to all of us.
