REUNION

WOW!

It's been a busy week!

Our reunion this fall was great as usual. After another fine dinner with Prime Rib and Chicken CordonBleu by Chef Tom we adjourned to the chapel for an exceptional program.

Master of Ceremonies Elder Tanner took charge. We all sang "High On A Mountain Top" accompanied by Elder Astle at the organ. Elder Wilks sang a solo: "I Am A Child of God" accompanied by Elder Harrison on the piano. Elder Wilks then introduced a total stranger he met on train from his digs in Layton. A Irish Welch man named Brother O'Callahan Evans a former member of the Irish RUC. Elder Evans and his wife serve as workers in the London Temple.

We were then privileged to hear from our Mission Mom.

And then from President Covey.

EDITORS NOTE:
During his remarks, President Covey, in his quick wit and humor responded to some rumors that have been going around, and I quote from the recording I made (which by the way, is available at the link above):

"I  don't know who sent out that I was having physical problems. I'm trying to find the person so I can kill them. Anyway I not allowed to drive anymore. (He admitted he was a terror when driving the Jag in Ireland) I'm ok, I'm fine. Someone asked me if I have dementia. I have no more dementia than President Monson."

The program concluded with a very moving spiritual solo by Elder Wilks, "In This Very Room."

P.S. Elder Plothow sang in the chorus which performed at the Priesthood Session on Saturday. It's said he didn't scratch his nose a single time!
