The mission reunion will be
held on Friday October 5, 2012. Details to follow.
Steve Carter is putting
together a video presentation on President Covey to be viewed at the reunion. He
would appreciate it if you could send directly to him any pictures you have of
President Covey in the mission field or at one of the missionary events i.e.
temple trips, reunions, parties, seminars he gave at Franklin
Covey etc. He wants pictures which have President Covey in
the picture. Please no pictures without President Covey however use your own
judgement. You may have a squence of pictures that includes Pres. Covey and
other missionaries that tells a story. I have listed Steve Carter contact info
at the bottom of the email. Pictures and slides will be returned. If you email them to
him please try and make the images as large as possible: 300 dpi jpegs (at
least 800 to 1000 pixels wide) would be great, .tif files would be better.
Also we would appreciate receiving from you an experience you had with President Covey during your mission so we can give a compilitation to Sister Covey. It may be any kind of experience, spiritual, funny, etc. We have received several experiences from some of the saints in Ireland that are very touching concerning there experiences with President Covey. Think about a cherished moment you had with him. It may be a wild ride in his Jaguar from the airport, a chance meeting on a diversion day, a spiritual experience, or a teaching and learning experience you had with him. I would also include experiences you may have had with Sister Covey. Please send these experiences to the Shamrock's address below.
All of us cherish our mission experience with the Covey's and the love and teachings we received from them. Steve Carter needs to receive the pictures as soon as possible so the presentation will be ready for the reunion. Please have them to him no later than September 15th. If you would have your written experiences to us by September 25, 2012 so we have time to put the expeiences together we would appreciate it. Thanks for your help. Our love goes out to Sister Covey. Also Elder Art Piper passed away in May 2012. Our love and prayers are with his wife. Jerry Clayton's wife, JoAnne and Sid Checkett's wife Rosemarie have been seriously ill but are improving. I am sure they would appreciate your prayers of faith in their behalf.
